He specialises in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, with extensive experience in advanced fertility care and Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART).

Dr. Wael has particular expertise in IVF and ICSI, complex infertility management, fertility preservation, and gynaecological endoscopy and minimally invasive procedures. He has also played an important role in advancing fertility preservation in the UAE, including leading the first ovarian cryopreservation procedure in the country.

Throughout his career, Dr. Wael has held senior medical and leadership positions within fertility services, contributing to the development and governance of IVF units. He has also been involved in the licensing and inspection of IVF units across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, supporting clinical standards and the delivery of safe, high-quality fertility care.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Wael is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ain Shams University, Egypt. His academic career reflects his commitment to medical education, research, postgraduate training, and the development of future specialists in obstetrics, gynaecology, and reproductive medicine.

He completed fellowship training in Assisted Reproductive Techniques at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in the UK and holds the MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
