Experience

Dr Vinod Hegade is a UK-certified (CCT) Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with 18 years of experience across a wide range of GI and liver diseases. He holds triple accreditation in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Internal Medicine.

Dr Vinod is a competent endoscopist and performs high-quality gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures, including the removal of polyps. He also performs ERCP procedures for bile duct stone removal and stent placement.

Dr Vinod obtained his MBBS degree from RGUHS, Bangalore (India), and then completed postgraduate training at several university teaching hospitals across the UK. His comprehensive GI training includes the prestigious NIHR Research Fellowship from Newcastle University, where he was awarded a PhD. He also completed advanced fellowships in liver transplantation and ERCP. Before moving to Dubai in 2023, Dr Vinod worked as a Consultant Hepatologist at St James’ University Hospital, Leeds, and ran a successful semi-private practice.

Dr Vinod is a driven professional focused on delivering high-quality patient care through evidence-based medicine. He has experience in developing specialist clinics and improving endoscopy services, resulting in improved patient outcomes. He enjoys teaching residents and fellows and sharing his knowledge with the next generation of healthcare professionals.
