Dr. Safia Anwar Mohammed Yaqoob served in many senior positions with the General Civil Aviation Authority Dubai, Health Authority and the Canadian Hospital in Dubai..

As an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), Dr. Safia conducts medical examinations and assessments in accordance with GCAA, FAA, and Malawi regulations to determine the physical fitness and medical suitability of aviation personnel. She interprets medical results to assess an individual’s ability to perform aviation duties safely and effectively. During her medical assessments, Dr. Safia evaluates medical histories, conducts physical examinations, and administers medical tests, including vision, hearing, cardiovascular, respiratory, and other relevant assessments.

Dr. Safia has been awarded by “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Excellence Award” for Distinguised Government Employee for the year 2013/2014.
