Qualifications and Experience

Dr. Mahmoud Tabbal is a Board-Certified Consultant General Surgeon with more than 20 years of international experience across Jordan, the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. He has held senior leadership positions in general surgery and hepatobiliary surgery, including roles as Head of General Surgery and Chief of General Surgery, contributing to the development and advancement of surgical services in tertiary care settings.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Tabbal completed his advanced surgical training at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, USA, and Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He has subspecialty training in multi-organ transplant surgery and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery. He also pursued specialised training in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in North Carolina, USA, and the University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France.
