Experience

Dr Fikri Soner Akdemir is a well-established DHA licensed and Turkish Medical Board-Certified Specialist Paediatrician, with 18 years’ experience in private clinics and hospitals in the UAE and Turkey.

Dr Fikri conducted his medical training at the University of Mersin Medical School; after graduating in 2005 he continued his specialism in Paediatrics at the prominent Dr Sami Ulus Paediatrics Training and Research Hospital in the Turkish capital of Ankara. He spent a decade starting his career in Turkey before moving to Dubai in 2015.

In almost a decade in the UAE, Dr Fikri has spent his time between clinics and hospitals, building a strong connection with the Turkish diaspora.

With vast experience, Dr Fikri’s expertise lays in diagnosis and treatment of acute conditions and illnesses in children and babies. From infectious diseases to chronic conditions like asthma and eczema, his ability to carefully and considerately diagnose and treat has put parent’s minds at ease for years.

Early years development and growth is of significant interest to Dr Fikri, and he has worked with patients and families to support the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of delayed growth milestones, hormone issues and nutrition and obesity.

Dr Fikri has a warm and welcoming manner, alongside an ability to speak directly to his patients in a way they understand and engage with, which has made him well known and trusted within the Turkish community, and beyond.
