Experience

Dr Ashkan Haghshenas has practiced in the field of vascular surgery since 1999. Among his qualifications, he has a Doctor of Medicine Degree and a Specialty of Vascular Surgery and Interventional Vascular Surgery from Rigas Stradina University in Latvia, and a Master of Healthcare Management from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. In addition to the UAE, he has practiced in Germany, the UK and Brazil. In the UAE he has worked in both private practice and public hospitals, including the Vascular Surgery Unit of Dubai’s largest public sector hospital where he performed various surgeries including endovascular, emergency and life-saving procedures..

Dr Ashkan’s clinical practice covers the full spectrum of vascular surgery, although he has a special interest in treating varicose veins, diabetic foot, chronic wounds, and vascular and endovascular procedures. He is not only specialized in conventional surgical techniques, but also in non-invasive and laser procedures.

As a speaker and facilitator at international conferences, Dr Ashkan keeps abreast of the latest research and developments in his field. He is a member of multiple international societies and trains doctors from around the world.
