Dr. Donatella Casiglia is an Italian Board-Certified Endocrinologist and Diabetologist with over 26 years of experience in managing complex cases of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, hypothyroidism, parathyroid diseases, obesity and pituitary and adrenal disorders.
She has held positions in top hospitals in UAE, UK and Italy.
She graduated in Medicine from the University of Palermo, Italy and Italian Board Certification in Endocrinology and Diabetes in 1996.
From 1996 to 2004 Dr. Casiglia was a specialist in diabetes and endocrinology in Milan, Italy. Then she was a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology and Head of Department in a top hospital in the UK until 2013 where she championed integrated patient centred care. During this time she managed type 1 diabetes and led an antenatal care team.
From 2013 to 2018 Dr. Casiglia was a specialist in diabetes and endocrinology in Dubai. She was also part of a multidisciplinary thyroid cancer team and further developed her expertise in endocrine complex disorders.
