Professional Experience

Dr. Zahid is a multi-award-winning British Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist having completed his board certification (CCT) in the UK with over a decade of experience in the field.

Before moving back to Dubai, Dr. Zahid worked in Manchester for the largest women’s healthcare provider in Europe and the busiest Endometriosis Centre in the UK as one of the BSGE-Accredited Endometriosis Centre Consultant Gynaecologists and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons. His surgical repertoire earned him the reputation of being one of the 110 complex Endometriosis excision surgeons in the UK, and he is the only Consultant Gynaecologist in the UAE who is currently 1 of the 10 Senior Council Members of the Board of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).

Dr. Zahid is the only Gynaecologist in the Middle East who has won the coveted Maurice Bruhat Award from the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE). He is also the only Consultant Gynaecologist in the Emirates who has completed the Official Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists accredited advanced specialization in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for the excision of complex benign disease and deep endometriosis and Advanced Hysteroscopic Surgery.

He is a compassionate listener and takes pride in the multi-disciplinary approach to complex gynaecological conditions. He takes great care in being a meticulous surgeon and is an expert in multi-specialty surgical planning and MRI interpretation. He is an ardent advocate for Endometriosis and Women’s Health as a whole and raises international awareness through delivering acclaimed presentations and talks at international conferences, hosting multiple international training courses and regularly publishing in journals and books around the world.
