Dr. Bassem Hamed Mohamed Badr is an Assistant Professor, Board Certified Consultant Psychiatrist, a Member and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, with more than 25 years of experience.
Dr. Bassem graduated from Alexandria University in 1993 with MB Bch in Medicine, and then went on to complete further education with a Diploma of Psychiatry and Addiction Practice (WHO), Master of Science in Neuropsychiatry, Diploma in Mental Health, Diploma in Hospital Administration, and then ultimately received his Medical Doctorate and Ph.D. in Psychiatry in 2008 at the University of Suez Canal in Egypt. In 2014, Dr. Bader was honored with the American Psychiatric Association Membership, followed by the International Fellowship in 2017.
He is an excellent and spectacular expert in adult and adolescent psychiatry, especially in treating personality, bipolar, depression, anxiety, sleeping, and eating disorders—additionally, diagnosis and management of early psychosis.
Moreover, he is a licensed Aviation Consultant Psychiatrist and has long experience managing different addiction disorders. He adopts an approach based on a combination of the psyche, the soma, and the spirit through scientific and philosophical overviews.
Not only has Dr. Bassem worked in Senior Roles in Hospitals in Dubai, Kuwait, and Egypt, but he has also been a Lecturer and Professor at several Educational Institutes, a peer speaker, and coordinator for various addiction treatment programs. He has contributed to scientific research in several medical journals. He is a talented writer on social and psychological problems and has had published many articles in reputable newspapers and magazines.
