Dr. Amber Syed is a British Obstetrician and Gynecologist with 20 years of experience in the field. Dr. Amber trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. She received a Fellowship from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) for her contribution to her specialty. Before moving to Dubai, Dr. Amber worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at University Hospital Wales in Cardiff, the largest hospital in Wales. She was the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai before joining HealthBay.
Dr. Amber is an advocate of natural childbirth, and she sees her role as supportive rather than interventional and supports women’s choices surrounding childbirth. She invests a lot of time and effort in building a relationship with her clients and believes that there is no such thing as “standard care.” Care must be above standard and is individualized and tailor-made according to the needs and wishes of each client. She believes in the principle of First Do No Harm, which is the epitome of medical care, and that communication with colleagues and patients is vital towards the provision of safe care and ensuring positive outcomes.
