Dr. Salma Ballal

Consultant OBGYN

Women's Care

Dr. Salma Ballal has been trained as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the British National Health Service (NHS). Over the past 18 years of her medical experience, she has developed a special interest in maternal medicine, high-risk pregnancies and labour care. She has also completed the advanced training modules in maternal medicine and advanced labor ward practice of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

As a great believer in the normality of labour and natural delivery, Dr. Ballal believes that women should be educated throughout what is the most amazing and fulfilling experience of their lives. Having delivered well over a thousand babies, Dr. Ballal has conducted and managed all types of births, from normal deliveries, vaginal births after previous caesarean section (VBAC), instrumental deliveries and caesarean sections.  She also offers pre-pregnancy counselling for women with pre-existing medical conditions, and those who have experienced problems in previous pregnancies, recurrent miscarriages or traumatic birth experiences. In addition to her obstetric experience, she can manage general gynaecological conditions such as menstrual disturbances, menopause disorders, family planning and cervical pathology screening.
