Vascular Surgery Department

The Vascular Surgery Clinic provides services for patients with vascular peripheral disorders, those conditions that involve the arteries, veins and lymphatics. This clinic provides outpatient advanced care referred as a consult or as a follow-up after surgery.     •  Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) – the gold standard in treatment of varicose veins
    •  Vena Seal Closure – novel technique that uses adhesive to close the vein endovenously
  • Miniphlebectomies (stab avulsions) for removal of small varicose veins
  • Sclerotherapy (injection treatment) with liquid or foam chemical for closing off varicose veins
  • Advanced laser treatment of spider veins, venous lakes, angiomas, port wine stains
  • DVT (deep venous thrombosis) and anti-coagulation management – diagnosis and treatment of blood clots
  • Non invasive laser lasting treatment of excessive underarm sweat (hyperhidrosis)
  • Hemodialysis access procedures for end stage renal disease including arterio-venous fistula creation and permanent catheters placement
  • Endovascular procedures (catheter based interventions including angioplasty and stenting)
  • Advanced wound care (diabetic foot, chronic and non-healing wounds)
  • Vena cava filters placement for pulmonary embolism prevention
  • Port catheters insertion for chemotherapy administration
